whats an interest group?

- an interest group is a group of people that go and ask to help people influence public policies on common interest groups. Some common interests groups are AARP, NEA, ACLU

The purpose of this excerpts is to show women and girls experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault. "Governments, institutions, laws, and policies contribute to the systematic devaluation of the lives and safety of women and girls by failing to respond to gender-based violence and discriminating against those subjected to such violence".  

The ideological perspectives of this group are solid liberal. Solid liberals care more about the safety of American citizens and the freedom of every citizen. In the text, it states that governments, employees, landlords, realize that the safety of women that are going through domestic violence, sexual assault should be the top priority.

The author of this passage uses these rhetorical devices such as pathos and you can see in the first paragraph it talks about women and girls don't have the ability to live with dignity.  In this passage, it shows words that use the rhetorical word pathos, which are dignity, ability. "Women and girls of their fundamental ability to live with dignity."

Personal ideology

My personal ideology is devout and diverse.

My name is Aisha Hassan. I took a quiz on personal ideology and I got devout and diverse. I am doing this for my Ap government class. Devout and diverse is nonwhite people who are somewhat conservatives and somewhat republicans and that are religious. And I am going to compare with core conservatives. Core conservative is a group of Republicans who support smaller governments with lowering taxes, and the majority of them believe U.S. involvement in the global economy is a good thing.

                                                    Trumps approval

Something I realized in my personal ideology is that 60% devout diverse of people disapprove of the way Trump is handling his job as a president, while 29% of devout diverse approves. I compared it with Core Conservatives and I see that 93% of Core Conservatives disapprove of the way Trump is handling his job as a president also, while 5% approves, these two ideologies are different because they have different beliefs of trumps. ¨Devout and Diverse offer less critical views of Trump’s conduct, though far more express negative (52%) than positive views (10%)¨.  But One way is taxes, Democrats ( devout diverse)  believe that taxes should be higher while Republicans ( core conservatives) believe taxes should be lower.

                                                               Healthcare

 Another example is healthcare, 72% in devout and diverse of people voted that the government has responsibility for all Americans to have health care, and 27% in devout diverse of people voted that it's not the government's responsibility for all Americans to have healthcare. Democrats believe we should all have healthcare no matter what our income is. I compared this with core conservatives, and in core conservatives, 88% of people voted that it's not the government responsibility to make sure all Americans have healthcare, while 11% voted its the government's responsibility. Republicans believe that "health coverage for working class and poor families".You can just tell by looking at all these numbers that they have different perspectives when it comes to the government's responsibility to healthcare.

                                                             abortion

In abortion devout diverse 49% of people voted that it should be legal to have an abortion while 46% voted that it should be illegal, and I compared this with core conservatives, and in core conservatives, 69% say abortion should be illegal while 29% of people believe abortion should be legal. You can see they are different perspectives when it comes to abortion, and that conservatives have more votes saying its illegal while devout diverse has less.¨abortion should be illegal in all or most cases¨.  Devout diverse believes that its the woman's choice whether or not she wants to keep the baby, And conservatives believe that its wrong to kill an innocent baby.
